Universal Control = Apple magic!

When Apple first showed off Universal Control last summer, the new feature looked pretty miraculous -- especially for people who regularly rely on both Macs and iPads.

Universal Control is designed to let you seamlessly use a keyboard, mouse and trackpad across iPad and Mac. And Apple showcased it as one of macOS Monterey's marquee features.

Unfortunately, we’ve been waiting to see it ever since.

Well, the long wait is over, at least for fearless beta testers. In Apple's latest betas, Universal Control works as advertised. Cult of Mac writer Killian Bell gave it an extensive test drive, and he calls it "one of Apple’s most magical features yet."

After reading his write-up, I’m sold. I can’t wait until Apple deploys the final version for beta-phobic users like me.

Find out what the buzz is all about in this week's top story.
