What to do with an old Mac
... and when to expect new ones!
The days of turning an old iMac into an aquarium are long gone. But there are plenty of things you can do with an old Mac, from specialized gaming and streaming to utilizing it as a server for printers and Time Machine backups.
This weekend’s new how-to shows you six cool things to do with an old Mac.
Also in this edition of The Weekender:
We put together a roundup of what to expect at Apple’s March event … assuming we get one! (All signs point to yes.) There are plenty of other new Apple rumors this week, too.
The Apple car is dead! Pulling the plug on Project Titan triggered some strong opinions at Cult of Mac. We’ve got duel editorials (I think the move’s depressing but D. Griffin Jones thinks it’s nothing but good news for Apple), as well as a fresh podcast that’s nearly wall-to-wall Apple car talk.
If the iPhone’s shoddy autocorrect is driving you mad, you can switch it off.
Without some shopping, is it even a weekend? We found hot deals on Apple Watches (sorry, but the Ultra already sold out), Beats headphones and earbuds, the best wireless iPhone chargers around and Apple's Magic Keyboard Folio for iPad 10.
Just in time for weekend streaming, Apple TV+ added more than 50 blockbuster movies to its library. These faves are there for a limited time only, though, unlike Ridley Scott’s Napoleon, which finally arrived on Apple TV+ after its theatrical run.
Enjoy your weekend!
