The new iPhone 16e seems like a strange beast. It costs a lot more than the iPhone SE it replaced, and it lacks many key features of the regular iPhone 16. Perhaps most maddeningly, it does not support MagSafe, which would be a deal-breaker for me (and likely for others).
Still, it’s the first iPhone with Apple’s hyper-efficient C1 modem, which supposedly delivers excellent battery life — even better than the iPhone 16.
Will the iPhone 16e become a hit? We’ll see soon enough. I’d skip it, but budget-minded shoppers might jump on the savings. Find out all about it in the special section below.
