Get cookin' with Apple!
The Apple News+ Food section does recipes right.
I own a lot of fantastic cookbooks, but I still rely heavily on recipe websites. And when I’m cooking, one of my least favorite ingredients is the SEO-driven drivel that turns many online recipes into a nightmare of scrolling and page refreshes. Not to mention my iPhone turning off while I’m stirring the pot.
It’s a recipe for disaster (and typically includes some spicy language).
The NYT Cooking app, which delivers a much better experience for its subscribers, soared to popularity — and now Apple wants a slice of that pie. The new Apple News+ Food section serves up recipes and cuisine-oriented content from impressive partners, all in the sort of clever, clutter-free environment you expect from Cupertino.
It’s a delicious (and free) add-on for Apple News+ subscribers. Find out all about it in this weekend’s new how-to (also available in video format). And then get cooking!

We reviewed three things this week that can enhance your travels: an affordable Ethernet dongle for your MacBook, a handy power adapter for international travel, and The Studio, the hit Apple TV+ comedy that rips Hollywood a new one. (Definitely download that before your next trip.)

Plus, don’t miss our limited-time price drops on Microsoft Word for Mac and iMobie’s AnyTrans, a Mac app that makes it easy to transfer, manage and back up iOS data, whether that’s your music files, iMessages, photos, books or Safari history.
Enjoy your weekend!
