15 best shows on Apple TV+
Lots to love on Apple's streaming service
When Apple TV+ launched four years ago, nobody had high expectations.
In fact, the mood was dour: Apple had no experience making TV — let alone prestige TV — and many predicted the service would suck.
But as Apple TV celebrated its fourth birthday on November 1, there’s actually lots of great stuff to watch on the streaming service.
For me, highlights include the Slow Horses spy drama, the Irish whodunnit Bad Sisters, and the space opera Foundation (with caveats: I love half the show, and hate the other half).
If you’re looking for something new to watch as the evenings draw in, our TV critic Scout Tafoya lists his 15 favorite picks. According to Scout, some of these shows are the best on any streaming service.

Early benchmarks rate the new M3 MacBooks as fast as an M2 Mac Pro from earlier this year — which is insane! Should you buy one of the new M3 machines? If so, which one? What about the new iMac? See below for details of this week’s Scary Fast event, including an amusing 90-second video recap. Plus, you can already save $100 on a M3 MacBook preorder.
The new MacBook Pros mean the end of an old one: Good riddance we say to the last MacBook with the ill-fated Touch Bar.
If you don’t need the mad power of the M3, the recently-released 15-inch M2 MacBook Air has a nice juicy $250 discount. This one’s very tempting — it’s an exceptional machine at a very good price.
AirTags got a firmware update this week: here’s how to check you got it.
Woot! is having a big blowout sale on 49 Apple accessories with some up to 90% off.
This featured setup includes an unusual desk mat that doubles as a cable organizer.
